My Querencia

Have you ever felt like you’re on top of the world? You own the world? The world is your playground? That’s the way I feel when I ride my ATV. My safe place, where I feel my best and powerful, is when I am cruising at high speeds far from humanity. I feel a sense of independence, and freedom. Just me and my ATV speeding in the mountains, miles from the city. I only feel weak and powerless when my ATV is broken or when I have my dad tail gaiting me. The freedom just washes away. When I ride it, its an indescribable feeling, no worries, Hakuna Matada. I feel the wind all over my body, I see squirrels and a lot of dirt, luckily I don’t taste any flies, I hear the air rushing by my ears and helmet, Knowing that you make your own decisions where I go, what I want to see, how fast I want to get there, how I want to get here, just makes it so much more fun for me. As soon as I touch the handles of my ATV, and start it up, I can just feel the power, energy and excitement rising through my fingers and my body. Even though I sometimes need a break from ATVing, its my passion and querencia for now and life.
